Description from the seller
EMO trumpet, vintage, model "Professional", is a flagship instrument produced in the 1950s and 1960s. It is characterized by a balanced weight and a wonderfully clear tone. The instrument, after a full professional service, is technically sound; all moving parts operate correctly, and it emits clear sounds with easy playability. It comes with a new, contemporary carbon-case, two reputable mouthpieces for pop music and classical/repertoire playing, and a music stand dedicated to the instrument. The Emo Professional trumpet is a unique, sought-after brass instrument by collectors. It was manufactured in Germany in the 1950s and 1960s by the Ernst Mödl (EMO) workshop. The most notable curiosity about this brand is that Louis Armstrong himself played an EMO trumpet and, impressed by its sound, wrote a letter to Ernst Mödl in which he called it “the best trumpet he had ever played in his life.” These instruments are now regarded as rare and hold great historical value for jazz enthusiasts and vintage brass instrument lovers. The Emo factory ceased instrument production in 1973 after the founder’s death. Today the Emo brand is mainly known for producing valued accessories, such as mutes for trumpets and trombones.
