This 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm work is created on a large, high-quality canvas and sits between painting and sculpture.
In light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, the structure and depth change, some layers stand out more. The work appears spatial and tangible – perception emerges as you walk, stand, and linger.
Frequency GOLD (Hellgold on a dark gold background) — a sculpture of light, structure, and presence
Frequency GOLD (Hellgold on a dark gold background) is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist, I transpose rhythm, pause, and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tensions akin to held notes, while subtle color shifts mark the transitions.
Details of the work
Title: Frequency GOLD (Light Gold on Dark Golden Background)
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique and materials: acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel texture paste on canvas, applied layer by layer with different spatulas. The pigments form reliefs and superpositions with a calm, pulsating tension. Only the highest quality materials are used: Amsterdam Expert acrylic paints, Liquitex texture pastes — all manufactured locally in Austria.
Frame: large natural solid wood float frame (included in the price). No decorative frame surrounding the artwork
Images: The images were captured under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the piece under direct or indirect light to fully highlight the color interaction and bring the artworks to life.
To aid a better understanding of the works and the interaction of light, I encourage buyers to watch the videos of the different works on Instagram, on the account @sarah.schwarzl.art.
Signature and authenticity: hand-signed on the back. Delivery with certificate of authenticity.
Market presence: comparable works are in private collections and galleries, with a price range from €2,500 to €3,000.
