About
Idris Khan is a contemporary artist who lives and works between Paris and Cologne and is known for her opulent, floral compositions. Her works fuse baroque image traditions with modern, abstract structures, creating a unique visual language between painting and digital aesthetics. At the center of her oeuvre are fragmented floral arrangements that seemingly dissolve and float in deep, marble-like color fields. Khan explores themes of transience, beauty, and transformation, reconceptualizing classical still lifes and bringing them into a contemporary context. Her works are characterized by intense color palettes, delicate textures, and a nearly sculptural sense of depth. Today Idris Khan is regarded as an exciting voice of a new generation, blending traditional art history with modern visual culture.
