Douglas Cooper (1911–1984) was a British art historian, collector, and one of the leading experts on Cubism. He owned Château de Castille in Argilliers, France, where Pablo Picasso created monumental wall drawings that remain among the most significant artistic features of the castle.

Horst P. Horst (1906–1999) was one of the most influential fashion photographers of the 20th century. Born in Germany, he moved to Paris in the early 1930s, where he initially collaborated with photographer George Hoyningen-Huene and later worked for French Vogue. Renowned for his masterful lighting, classical composition, and timeless elegance, Horst photographed prominent figures from fashion, art, and society, including Coco Chanel, Marlene Dietrich, and Salvador Dalí. His works are today in the collections of major museums worldwide, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
