RE-CAN

A can lasts three minutes in our hands and two hundred years in a landfill.

RE-CAN reverses the process: each can collected is cleaned, hand-painted, splashed with color — and escapes its fate as waste to enter the realm of a work. No reproduction, no industrial series: each piece is unique, bearing the trace of the gesture that saved it.

The back of the painting is also hand-painted, texture by texture, to recreate a street-wall effect.

Waste becomes relic. The ephemeral becomes eternal.

RE-CAN has no Instagram account, no page, no feed. Not out of calculated mystery, but because he’s a street guy — he’s always created without asking permission or chasing likes, and he plans to keep it that way. No algorithm, no showroom, no accountability. Just the street, the hands, and the material given to him.

Une canette vit trois minutes dans nos mains et deux cents ans dans une décharge.

RE-CAN inverse le processus : chaque canette collectée est nettoyée, peinte à la main, éclaboussée de couleur — et sort de son destin de déchet pour entrer dans celui d’une œuvre. Pas de reproduction, pas de série industrielle : chaque pièce est unique, et porte la trace du geste qui l’a sauvée.

Le fond du tableau aussi est peint à la main, texture par texture, pour recréer un effet mur de rue.

Le rebut devient relique. L’éphémère devient éternel.

RE-CAN n’a pas de compte Instagram, pas de page, pas de fil d’actualité. Pas par mystère calculé, mais parce que c’est un gars de la rue — il a toujours créé sans demander de permission ni chercher de likes, et il compte continuer comme ça. Pas d’algorithme, pas de vitrine, pas de compte à rendre. Juste la rue, les mains, et la matière qu’on lui donne.
