Jordi Teixidor, Untitled, a colour aquaforte and aquatint print, 60 × 55 cm, edition 6/60, signed by hand bottom right, framed in aluminium, produced in 1980–1990 in Spain, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Important original graphic by the Spanish master Jordi Teixidor, one of the leading figures of Spanish abstraction in the second half of the 20th century. The work, realized with the refined technique of color etching and aquatint, fully interprets the gestural and informal language that made the artist famous, characterized by an intense dialogue between sign, matter, and color.
The composition unfolds through a dense interweaving of energetic lines and chromatic overlaps in shades of blue, green, and violet, giving life to a vibrant surface rich in visual depth. The balance between spontaneity of gesture and compositional control constitutes one of the distinguishing elements of Teixidor's graphic production.
The edition is signed in pencil at the bottom right by the artist and numbered 6/60 at the bottom left, thus belonging to a limited edition, a characteristic that increases its collectible appeal.
The work is printed on high-quality paper with ample margins and is currently housed in an aluminum frame, which ensures good presentation and protection.
An authentic graphic work that represents Jordi Teixidor's oeuvre, an artist present in the main Spanish public and private collections, particularly appreciated by collectors of contemporary abstract art and graphic editions.
