Domenico Boscolo Natta’s colour serigraphy La Maternità (1971) is a limited edition of 90 prints, numbered 70 and hand-signed, produced in Italy in a Pop Art-inspired style, measuring 85 by 64 cm and in good condition.
Description from the seller
A refined and elegant original color screenprint signed by the renowned Veneto master Domenico Boscolo Natta, an artist trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia and a prominent figure in Italian figuration of the second half of the 20th century.
The work explores one of the author's most cherished and celebrated themes: Maternity. The composition stages the deep emotional intimacy between a mother and her child, placed within a two-dimensional domestic space.
The style blends deftly the twentieth-century figurative tradition with graphic influences clearly inspired by Pop Art, evident in the use of bright blocks of flat, saturated color (bright red, orange, ochre and violet). The background is enriched by a sophisticated damask geometric pattern that creates a striking decorative contrast with the stylized volumes of the human figures.
This exemplar is numbered 70 in a restricted edition limited to only 90 copies worldwide. The artist's autograph pencil signature and the prestigious dry stamp of the publisher's print shop impressed on the paper certify the total authenticity and the high artisanal standard of the graphic production of the period.
Slight signs of age and wear are clearly visible in the photo. The photo is an integral part of the lot description.
Insured and traceable shipping.
