Description from the seller
Frattura in equilibrio is a contemporary sculpture by Angelo Scardino realized in PLA and resin, characterized by a strong tension between fragmentation, reassembly and memory of form.
The work presents a sculptural body suspended between figuration and abstraction: an anatomical fragment that recalls human presence, but which appears interrupted, broken and reconstructed through a network of blue lines finished with gilded profiles. These marks cross the surface like suturing traces, visual coordinates or wounds transformed into language.
The white, vibrant and almost marble-like material enhances the contrast with the chromatic lines that mark the structure of the work and underscore its fractures. The result is a sculpture that speaks of vulnerability, resilience and transformation: not fracture as simple loss, but as a possibility of new form and new meaning.
The broken and suspended rhythm of the composition generates a strong spatial presence, while the relationship between solids, voids and structural tensions invites the viewer to observe the work from multiple viewpoints. Each angle yields a different reading of the fragment and its recomposition.
Work suitable for collections of contemporary art, experimental figurative sculpture and contemporary plastic research.
