Description from the seller

Important artistic vase in satin glass with hot-fused applications – Italy, circa 1960-1980

The work is made in precious white satin glass (acid-etched) of high quality, characterized by an elegant truncated-conical wide base shape, with essential and modern lines.

The surface is embellished with numerous circular transparent glass applications, hot-fused directly onto the body of the vase. Each element was applied individually and subsequently hand-molded during the processing of incandescent glass. The light traces of workmanship visible on the applications constitute an authentic testimony to the artisanal craftsmanship and the execution mastery typical of Murano furnaces.

The substantial thickness of the glass, the heavy bottom of about 3 cm and the considerable weight of about 1.8 kg highlight a high-level creation, carried out with particular attention to material quality and finish perfection.

For aesthetic conception, technical execution, glass quality and type of decorative applications, the vase shows significant affinities with works attributed to Archimede Seguso and with Murano's most prestigious productions destined for the international market between the 1960s and 1980s.

The elegant contrast between the white satin glass and the transparent applications creates a refined play of light, depth and material, giving the piece a strong decorative presence and notable collecting value.

Era:
Murano, Italy, circa 1960-1980.

Dimensions:
• Height: 25 cm
• Upper diameter: 15 cm
• Base diameter: 9 cm
• Weight: about 1.8 kg

Conditions:
Excellent conditions.

The vase presents itself in an extraordinarily preserved state, very close to new.

There are only two tiny and almost imperceptible superficial scratches on the lateral sides, visible only on very careful and close examination. In correspondence with these micro marks there is a very slight loss of satin finish, absolutely negligible and practically invisible during normal display of the piece.

The marks are so reduced as not to affect the overall aesthetics of the vase in any way and are mentioned solely for descriptive completeness.

No cracks.
No chipping.
No breaks.
No restoration.

Overall, a magnificently preserved piece, particularly difficult to find in such excellent condition.

Shipping:

The object will be carefully packed with professional materials and appropriate protections to guarantee maximum safety during transport.

The shipment will be tracked and insured.
The lot will be shipped to the pickup point closest to the buyer’s address, according to the terms provided by the carrier in charge.
