Description from the seller
Lluís Llop, Panki devant el jurat, Panki delante del jurado
This work is a magnificent example of his characteristic work in the field of contemporary copper engraving, a technique he deepened from the mid-2000s. His style combines great skill in drawing the human figure (here captured in a portrait with punk aesthetics) with the inclusion of textured organic stains and abstract in earth tones and ochres.
In the lower margins the traits of an original and collector's graphic work are perfectly evident: Artist's signature: On the right, with his characteristic short pencil signature "Llop" next to the year of creation (2009). Numbering / Condition: On the left details the initials P.E. (Prueba de Estado), which correspond to the impressions made by the artist himself to check the development of the matrix before the final edition and dedication.
I was present, in his studio, when he made the work.
