Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life has roots in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always harbored. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

Dimensions: 26x25x6 cm

Edition: limited edition 999ex - light blue

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are notable appearances at the Contemporary Art Show “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Art and Culture Center, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From artisan to a signature of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime’s experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has liberated the technique from functional constraints, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and entirely made in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual processing.
Please avoid exposing to heat sources; clean only with a soft cloth, without detergents.
