Description from the seller

SHIPPING MAY TAKE PLACE AFTER SEPTEMBER 7, 2026

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Le Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, varnishing, and chrome plating.

The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to free the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center of Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From artisan to a sign of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can become pure and recognized artistic expression.

Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of the imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, bright, ironic, and irresistibly modern.

Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the line of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants on the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.

The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy.
The small imperfections that may be found are a natural characteristic of the entirely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only a soft cloth.
