The 1986 Suzuki GSX-R 1100 is considered a milestone in world motorcycling, universally recognized as the progenitor of modern high-performance street superbikes. Nicknamed by anglophone enthusiasts "Slab Side" (or "Knicker" in Germany) due to its flat, angular side panels, this motorcycle redefined the concept of the weight-to-power ratio for maxi-bikes of the era.
