Alessandro Gandolfi - Sierra #1

At dawn the railway built by the Chinese cuts through the lowlands between Makeni and Lunsar. The photograph is part of a broad reportage dedicated to Sierra Leone and produced in 2015, a year in which the West African country was still gripped by the Ebola nightmare.

The image is signed on the back and measures 30x40 cm. It is printed in a limited edition (25 copies) on Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 g/m2 paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Alessandro Gandolfi is an Italian professional photographer and journalist. Interested in telling the small and large changes of contemporary society, his reports have appeared in outlets around the world and have been exhibited in various international photo exhibitions and festivals. He has received international accolades such as the Sony World Photography Award, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism, the POY - Pictures of the Year, and the PDN.
