UWE STÄDLER (Germany, 1940) – . : Uwe Städler is a German artist whose career has developed around geometric abstraction as an essential language. Trained in the postwar European context, his work is rooted in the rationalist and constructivist tradition, heir to modern thought and the plastic exploration of form, space, and perception. Between 1960 and 1965 he studied painting at the Werkkunstschule in Wiesbaden under the guidance of Vincent Weber. In 1973 he moved to Madrid, where he worked as an illustrator at the German Archaeological Institute. Since early 1981 he lives and studies in southern Spain. Since 2003 he lives and works in Andalusia, where he continues to develop his artistic activity.
