PARKER "DUOFOLD" EXTREM BIG Fountain Pen with aerometric filling system
Signed: PARKER DUOFOLD
This item was produced by PARKER ENGLAND in the 1950s and is black in color
Condition: PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING
No obvious signs of wear!
This Parker "DUOFOLD" model was produced between 1950 and 1960 and MADE IN ENGLAND!
Nib: EXTREM BIG in 14-carat gold, the inscription is a N
Dimensions: Fountain pen: 1.4 /13 cm =
The nib writes in wonderfully delicate fashion.
This item is a VERY RARE piece, ideal for both collectors and for use
Although there is conflicting information, it seems that the Parker Duofold was introduced to the market in 1921 using stock remnants of red ebonite from a Parker worker.
Although Parker Duofold immediately met with great success, it did not have an easy start because the material tended to crumble, which had a major impact on the company’s warranty costs.
The quality leap of the Parker Duofold is attributed to 1926 when the first Duofold in celluloid was released. Initially the color was always red, but later more colorations were introduced.
Currently the Duofold is one of the most appreciated and distinctive models of Parker.
