Armodio (Vilmore Schenardi) is an Italian contemporary artist born in Piacenza on October 4, 1938. Just as Giorgio Vasari, in the height of the Renaissance, defined Andrea del Sarto as the “painter without errors,” today Vittorio Sgarbi uses the same expression regarding the contemporary artist Armodio to emphasize the perfection of forms and the elegance of the works created by the Piacentine master. The object becomes first a concept and then sublimates into art. It is not uncommon for Armodio to project us into a metaphysical and surreal dimension where objects of a shared or “potentially shareable” reality transform into something other than themselves, becoming media through which the master communicates his observations and ideas. There are many authoritative critics, beyond the Italian critic Vittorio Sgarbi already mentioned, who have spoken of Armodio as an author, including Franco Solmi, Patrick Waldberg, Maurizio Fagiolo dell’Arco, Giorgio Mascherpa, Claudia Gian Ferrari and Giovanni Faccenda, to name a few. Armodio’s art exhibitions began as early as 1963 when he exhibited in his hometown Piacenza, then in Rome (1964), Long Island, NY (USA, 1969), and again Naples and Bologna (1971), Parma, Bolzano and Stuttgart (1972), Genoa, Brescia, Brussels (1973) and more Antwerp, Mantua, Belgrade, Basel, Milan, Martigny, Paris, Madrid, Venice, Brindisi, Turin, Krakow, Sartirana, Andria, Bari, Treviso, Lucca, Frankenhausen, Lugano and many other cities.

Master Armodio is a painter of high technical quality, of precious artistic-conceptual value and represents an important piece of the history of Italian contemporary art. From an investment point of view, it is absolutely indispensable in prestigious art collections!
