Description from the seller
"Memorias".
It is impossible to view this work without thinking of Joan Miró. It borrows directly from Miró: the use of dots, ellipses, fine lines that connect elements, and pure primary colors.
The use of large, clean shapes and flat colours recalls the 60s/70s pop graphics and the Vanguards of the 20th Century. A style of surreal, abstract, and expressive art is created, with a focus on the process of creation and the interaction of colors on the canvas. Objects or figures are not depicted in a literal, recognizable way; instead, the emphasis is on the interaction of shapes, colors, and lines to evoke sensations or ideas.
This work invites the viewer to play. There is no literal story to tell, but a mood. The beings that inhabit it seem happy, strange, and dreamlike. Art is used to evoke positive emotions through color and rhythm.
It is a masterwork of playful geometry, where color and form dance together to create a surreal, vibrant, and joyful universe.
In short, this work springs from human emotion, allowing the viewer to create concepts that are not necessarily based on physical reality. Essentially, it enables the imagination of things that do not exist in the material world.
The Lemagne'83 work ranges from surreal to poetic, flirting with the metaphysics present in the abstract of the 20th-century Vanguards. By blending styles, techniques, and concepts to create a unique and visual universe, it uses the subjectivity inherent in art as a bridge between the explicit and the suggestive, going against the grain of reality, and focusing on exploring forms, colors, and textures that allow it to recreate compositions, evoking emotions and concepts. Sometimes it avoids depicting recognizable objects, focusing on the essence and the visual purity of the work itself.
The varnish layer preserves the painting from dust and UV rays.
Shipping does not include a wooden frame. It will be packed in a sturdy tube and shipped via UPS or FedEx.
* The photos were taken with non-professional lighting, so any lack of definition is justified by the result produced by the device with which it was taken.
