Description from the seller
Excellent original engraving on paper by the renowned Spanish artist Juan Sotomayor (born in Córdoba in 1947), hand-signed in pencil and dated "92" in the bottom right corner.
This magnificent piece belongs to a carefully curated limited edition of a short print run, hand-numbered in pencil as 63/100 at the lower left edge. The composition is an impeccable exercise in geometric abstraction and Op Art, where a dense and clean cobalt blue background serves as a stage for a rhythmic sequence of vertical lines in silver with a brilliant metallic finish, generating a suggestive optical and kinetic effect.
The work is in very good condition, preserving the clean margins of the paper. A collector’s piece with great visual presence and perfect for lovers of Spanish geometric trends from the late 20th century.
