Montblanc StarWalker Black Mystery fountain pen, made in Germany in the Fine XX century, with a precious resin body and platinum-plated trim, a 14K gold nib rhodium-plated, cartridge filling system, and a cap with cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
Description from the seller
Here we present a specimen with a distinctly modern and technologically chic charm, belonging to one of the most iconic and bold collections from the house of Hamburg: the Montblanc StarWalker Black Mystery Fountain Pen.
The design of this writing instrument breaks with classic schemas thanks to an innovative surface. The body is embellished with an intricate geometric pattern laser-engraved, creating a play of lines and rectangles with strong visual and tactile impact. This contemporary workmanship is heightened by the contrast with platinum-plated finishes, mirror-polished, present on the distinctive aero-dynamic clip profile and on the smooth grip section. To seal the identity of the StarWalker line, we find the famous transparent dome on the top, inside which the Montblanc white star emblem gracefully floats.
The beating heart of this fountain pen is its excellent writing group: by unscrewing the cap, a beautiful 14-carat solid gold nib (Au585) is revealed. To maintain full color harmony with the pen’s finishes, the nib has undergone a rhodium plating giving it an elegant silver tone, and it is finely engraved with the Montblanc logo. The filling system is cartridge-based.
Regarding its condition, the item presents in generally good condition but requires an important cosmetic clarification. The barrel, grip, and the precious 14K gold nib are in excellent condition and perfectly ready to use. However, as documented with utmost transparency in the last three detailed photographs, the cap shows a damage. There is a lesion/chipping in the black resin placed on the side, right near the cap’s attachment to the clip. This defect is purely cosmetic and does not affect in any way the cap’s screw closure or the pen’s mechanical functionality for writing.
