Montblanc StarWalker Carbon Doué rollerball with a carbon fibre body and platinum-plated cap, made in Germany in the Fine XX century, serial MS1335716, featuring a transparent resin dome.
Description from the seller
Here we present an exemplar that perfectly embodies the most modern, technological, and bold spirit of the Hamburg maison: the Montblanc StarWalker Carbon Rollerball / Fineliner (in its magnificent Doué rendition). This line was conceived for a new generation of professionals, combining advanced materials engineering with the unmistakable aesthetics of contemporary luxury.
The design plays on a formidable contrast of textures and hi-tech materials. The body is expertly crafted in genuine anthracite carbon fiber, decorated with a slim and fascinating interwoven geometric pattern that catches the light, while ensuring incredible lightness and structural strength. To counterpoint this sport-inspired material, there is a massive and luminous platinum-colored cap, enhanced by elegant horizontal guilloché work. On the base ring of the cap is engraved the inscription "MONTBLANC", while the aerodynamically profiled clip bears the individual serial number. The true stroke of genius of the StarWalker collection dominates the top as always: the famous six-point white star that floats magically suspended inside the transparent resin dome.
Functionally, it is an elegant rollerball. Unlike the ballpoint version, this model features the classic screw cap, intelligently designed to be screwed securely even on the back end during writing, ensuring perfect balance in the hand. Your excellent and detailed photographs of the instrument disassembled confirm the absolute integrity of the internal metal mechanism and show the original refill currently mounted.
The condition is excellent. The delicate texture of the carbon fiber on the body is pristine and shows no scratches or chips. The luminous platinum cap and the remaining metal finishes maintain an excellent sheen, revealing only the physiological and entirely negligible micro-scratches (hairlines) visible in a backlit view, due to normal and respectful desk handling. The pen is structurally perfect, glossy, and ready to glide onto the page."
