Born in 1958 in Ben Tre, an authentic village nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Nguyen Robert is a Franco-Vietnamese artist whose work is distinguished by a unique fusion of Asian traditions and Western artistic influences. From a young age, he is captivated by the rural architecture of his environment, the lines of traditional houses, the volumes of floating markets, the shadows cast by water palms—elements that would become the base of his visual language.

Based in his homeland region, Nguyen Robert develops over the decades a deeply contemporary, modern, and decidedly architectural style. His paintings explore structures, lines, urban rhythms, and geometric abstraction, while maintaining a poetic sensitivity inherent to Vietnamese culture.

His dual Franco-Vietnamese heritage enriches his approach: he borrows from the West the rigor of modern compositions and the boldness of contrasts, while his Vietnamese soul injects softness, spirituality, and fluidity into his works.
