This unique original work by the artist Pölzl Peter / poep-art is entirely hand-painted.

The «leitprofil» for the explanation of my paintings can best be described in numerous images, often as a conscious negation of linguistic fixation. For PöP, talking about art is often difficult or even “meaningless,” since painting for him represents an autonomous form of thought that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that starts where language ends. He holds the idea that one can put into words only what words are able to express—painting has nothing to do with this.

In short: my leitprofil is the opening of the image. For him an image must be able to exist without external explanations, because every interpretation would limit the image itself.

An abstract painting by Peter Pölzl no longer resembles a reflection of reality, but rather a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no objects, figures, or recognizable landscapes.

Consequently, it is often used «untitled XXX» to give the observer freedom of interpretation.
