Description from the seller
"Miradas de una Aldea".
The work is a clear example of geometric abstract art, with a strong influence from Constructivism and Suprematism. Through its shapes and colors, it inevitably evokes the style of artists such as Joan Miró or Alexander Calder. It is optimistic, playful, and deeply graphical. It does not seek to represent reality as it is, but to translate reality into a language of pure forms and colors. It has a naïve spirit but with great sophistication in its composition and balance.
The use of large, clean shapes and flat colors recalls 1960s/70s pop graphics and the Vanguardias of the 20th Century. A style of abstract and expressive surrealism is created, with a focus on the process of creation and the interaction of colors on the canvas. Objects or figures are not represented literally or recognizably; instead, the focus is on the interaction of shapes, colors, and lines to evoke sensations or ideas.
This work invites the viewer to play. There is no literal story to tell, but rather a mood. It is a work of playful geometry, where color and form dance together to create a surreal, vibrant, and joyful universe.
In summary, this work arises from human emotion, allowing the viewer to create concepts that are not necessarily based on physical reality. Essentially, it enables the imagination of things that do not exist in the material world.
Lemagne'83’s work ranges from surreal to poetic, flirting with the metaphysics present in 20th-century avant-gardes within abstraction. Fusing styles, techniques, and concepts to create a unique and visual universe. Through the subjectivity inherent in art, as a bridge between the explicit and the suggestive, it goes against the grain of reality, focusing on exploring shapes, colors, and textures that allow it to recreate compositions, evoking emotions and concepts. Sometimes it avoids representing recognizable objects, concentrating on the essence and the visual purity of the work itself.
The varnish layer preserves the painting from dust and UV rays.
The shipment of the work does not include a wooden frame. It will be boxed in a sturdy tube and shipped via UPS or FedEx.
* The photos were taken with non-professional lighting, so any lack of definition is justified by the result produced by the device with which it was made.*
