“The Offering”.

This work is a piece of abstract and surreal art, with a strong dreamlike and symbolic character. The style, color palette, and iconography strongly recall the visual language of Joan Miró, mixed with certain touches of the Cuban Belkis Ayón’s work, with her cosmic religious beings so to speak.
This is a joyful, playful, and cosmic piece. It seems to narrate a simple yet profound story: the encounter between a being of consciousness and a earthly creature, mediated by the universe, while the beast watches from below. It is a celebration of life, imagination, and the connection between man and the cosmos.
This work invites the viewer to play. There is no literal story to tell, but rather a mood. In short, this work arises from human emotion, so that the spectator can create concepts that are not necessarily based on physical reality. Basically, it enables the imagination of things that do not exist in the material world.
Lemagne’83’s work ranges from surreal to poetic, flirting with the metaphysics present in the abstraction of the XXth Century Avant-Garde. Fusing styles, techniques, and concepts to create a unique and visual universe. Through the subjectivity inherent in Art, as a bridge between the explicit and the suggestive, it goes against the grain of reality and focuses on exploring forms, colors, and textures that allow it to recreate compositions, evoking emotions and concepts. Sometimes it avoids representing recognizable objects, focusing on the essence and the pure visual nature of the artwork itself.

The varnish layer preserves the painting from dust and UV rays.
The shipment of the work does not include a wooden frame. It will be packed in a sturdy tube and shipped by UPS or FedEx.
