The pen is presented in a very good overall condition, showing remarkable preservation both aesthetically and functionally.

The body in black resin maintains excellent shine and uniformity, with slight micro-signs of use typical of a piece previously used, barely perceptible to the naked eye and not at all affecting its visual presence. No cracks, chips or deformations are observed.

The platinum-plated metal cap, characteristic of the Doué version, is in very good condition, preserving its original satin finish with minimal surface marks derived from normal use. The clip has good tension and correct alignment.

The metal finishes (rings and terminals) maintain a good general condition, with slight signs of handling but without significant material loss or relevant deterioration.

The Montblanc floating emblem on the top remains clean and well defined, without cracks or damage, maintaining its characteristic visual effect.

The 14-karat gold nib is in very good condition, with no visible deformations, with correct alignment and ready to offer smooth writing. The fountain pen has been inspected and tested, guaranteeing proper function.

Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, with light signs of use consistent with its nature, which do not affect its aesthetics or performance.

Conservation recommendations

To preserve the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specific for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, perform periodic cleanings with warm water if not used for a while, dry it completely before storing and keep it in a dry place, without direct exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures. It is advised to operate the filling system gently.
