Description from the seller
Max-Daniel — Suzanne and the Elders — DALL·E, oil and varnish — One-off 1/1 — 2026
Description
This work combines an initial creation made with DALL·E, a digital composition, a canvas print, and original pictorial interventions in oil painting. Here, artificial intelligence is a stage of the artistic process and not its culmination.
Max-Daniel – Suzanne and the Elders
Mixed media on canvas, signed and dated 2026 - Format: 30 × 40 cm - Canvas mounted on stretcher, black edges, ready to hang.
In this contemporary interpretation of the famous biblical theme, Max-Daniel sets in motion the contrast between Suzanne’s luminous grace and the unsettling presence of the two elders concealed among the vegetation.
The young woman, absorbed in an intimate gesture, seems still unaware of the gazes watching her. The gentleness of the garden, the flowers, and the evening light subtly oppose the tension of the scene. This duality between beauty and threat gives the work its full narrative force.
The small format reinforces its precious and intimate character. Its deep and warm tones integrate particularly well in a classical, retro, or eclectic interior.
The work has received three coats of protective varnish with a glossy finish, which enhance the depth of the colors while ensuring durable protection.
Artwork signed at the bottom right and noted on the back. Sold unframed. Unique and certified original piece.
The Artist
Max-Daniel is a French artist-researcher and university lecturer. Since the early 1990s, his work has explored the relationships between painting, computing, communication devices, and image production.
The work will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
