Instagram: XTC.Artist
Commercially produced plastic sculpture customized, hand-finished by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes as well as vinyl. The edition number applies to the painted finish by the artist and not to the base object.
Glass is not provided ;) (unusual item, not suitable for food!)
Numbered out of 30 and signed on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
Careful shipping with tracking.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration became a passion that had to come to fruition.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and with Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration from, among others, Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addiction in general.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
HAND-FINISHED « Sculpture produced for commercial purposes, hand-retouched by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and vinyl. »
