Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one can notice the great fascination that Italian 20th-century art has exerted on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà, and de Chirico. In his forty years of artistic career there have been more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including TV programs devoted entirely to him. The Maestro Rolfi’s artistic work has been discussed by the most important journalistic outlets and by television and radio stations. Among the most notable events are the great exhibition Centoeventigiorni held in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rome, in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria; and BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. His paintings have been used for about six years as the set designs for the GEO program on Rai 3. His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and throughout the rest of Europe.
