Claudio Rolfi (1960) - Volare oiltre

Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one notes the great fascination that 20th-century Italian art has been able to exert on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà and de Chirico. In his forty-year artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including TV programs entirely devoted to him. The Maestro Rolfi's artistic work has been discussed by the most important newspapers and television and radio stations. Among the most notable events are the grand exhibition Centoeventigiorni held at Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni, the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome, his solo show at Mondadori in Milan, the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria and at BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi.

The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about six years as the set designs of Rai 3's GEO program.
His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and throughout the rest of Europe.

The painting represents a hot air balloon, a recurring theme by the artist that for several years has been used for the set designs of GEO on Rai 3. With this subject he expresses lightness and the natural metaphysical aspect of hot air balloons, to the point of nicknaming them "the jellyfish of the air". The work is supplied with a signed and stamped Certificate of Authenticity and shipped via FedEx.
