With this square-format piece, Medsan reinterprets Mickey Mouse, Disney's planetary icon, the face buried in gloved hands, the silhouette completely covered by a cloud of fluorescent tags on a concrete wall background.

The treatment fuses sculptural rendering with the energy of street art: the character's body is covered with multicolored graffiti — lettering, hearts, logos, “NIKE” and various signatures — sprayed, while paint drips and splashes mark the living gesture of the graffiti artist. The contrast between the gloves' immaculate white and the chromatic explosion of the rest creates a strong expressive tension.

The work superimposes the innocence of cartoons and contemporary malaise. This Mickey who hides his face, weighed down by the words and colors of the street, embodies a 20th-century icon caught up in doubt and the overload of the modern world.
