Medsan presents a 40 × 40 cm hand-signed giclée from 2026, titled Kintsugi Shenron (金継ぎの神龍) - UNIQUE WORK, edition limited to 1/1, made in France and depicting a pop culture dragon in blue-and-white porcelain with gold repair.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan portrays Shenron, the divine dragon from Dragon Ball summoned by the seven Dragon Balls, as a blue-and-white porcelain motif that is broken and then repaired with gold according to the Japanese art of kintsugi.
The treatment imitates fine blue-and-white ceramics: the serpentine dragon is painted in cobalt tones, scales and scrolls finely drawn, on an ivory craquelé glaze. The seven Dragon Balls and their red stars punctuate the composition, while a tiny child Goku stands at the bottom. A network of golden cracks stitches the piece together like a true restored work.
The piece marries the modernity of manga with ancestral ceramic heritage. Kintsugi, the philosophy of beauty born from breakage, gives the wish-granting dragon a symbolic depth: the quest, perseverance and rebirth, at the very heart of Dragon Ball.
A refined and poetic piece, ideal for adding a Japanese-inspired and precious touch to a contemporary collector’s interior who loves manga and Japanese art.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists united around a living and plural contemporary creation. Set up as a true site of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family adventure. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented towards pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive research, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, produced, and followed within the atelier, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
