Born in 1958 in Ben Tre, an authentic village nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Nguyen Robert is a Franco-Vietnamese artist whose work stands out for a unique fusion of Asian traditions and Western artistic influences. From a young age, he has been fascinated by the rural architecture of his environment, the lines of traditional houses, the volumes of the floating markets, the shadow casts of water palms — all elements that will form the basis of his visual language.

Based in his native region throughout his life, Nguyen Robert has developed, over the decades, a deeply contemporary, modern, and decisively architectural style. His paintings explore structures, lines, urban rhythms, and geometric abstraction, while retaining a poetic sensitivity intrinsic to Vietnamese culture.

His Franco-Vietnamese heritage enriches his approach: he borrows Western modern composition rigor and bold contrasts, while his Vietnamese soul infuses softness, spirituality, and fluidity into his works.
