Apple iPhone 3GS, 16 GB, black, model A1303, year 2009, in incomplete condition with original box and documentation, offered for restoration due to activation and network issues and a damaged SIM slot.
Description from the seller
Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB Black A1303 – With original box and accessories – For restoration
Offering Apple iPhone 3GS 16 GB, black color, model A1303, accompanied by its original 2009 box and original documentation/accessories.
The iPhone powers on and charges correctly and I have checked that it connects to Wi‑Fi networks. However, it presents an important issue: I cannot complete the device activation. When attempting to activate, the screen/message shown in the photos appears.
I have also tried inserting a SIM card. The card can be inserted, but the phone cannot find any mobile network. I cannot confirm the exact cause; it could be related to a possible carrier lock, activation, or some other connectivity issue. For this reason, the phone is sold as a device for inspection/restoration and not as a fully functional iPhone.
The SIM slot/tray has a small break or defect, clearly visible in the photographs. Nevertheless, I was able to insert a SIM into the device.
Condition and contents
The lot includes:
* Apple iPhone 3GS 16 GB black, model A1303.
* Original box corresponding to the phone.
* Original manual/documentation.
* Original Apple stickers.
* Original SIM extraction tool/pin.
* Charger and charging cable are not included.
The phone shows signs of use and wear appropriate to its age, visible in the photographs.
It is not possible to guarantee battery life or condition due to the device’s age. Although the iPhone currently powers on and accepts a charge, the battery autonomy could not be reliably tested.
Important: due to the activation problem, the inability to find a mobile network, and the condition of the SIM slot, the device is offered for restoration, repair, parts, or for a collector with technical knowledge. It is not guaranteed that it can be used as a phone without performing the necessary repairs or checks beforehand.
The photographs are part of the description and show both the cosmetic condition and the activation issue and the SIM compartment defect.
An interesting piece for Apple collectors and for those interested in the early era of the iPhone, especially for retaining its original box and documentation, but requiring technical review to determine if it can be fully reused.
