Description of the work
This technical panel, created with a graphic style reminiscent of the industrial blueprints of the 1970s, illustrates the three personal computers that marked the beginning of the mass information revolution: the Apple II, the Commodore PET 2001, and the TRS-80 Model I.
Size 70x50 cm, unframed.
The work is organized as an archival document from the Design Office, dated June 1977. Through isometric drawings, exploded views of the motherboards, and dimensional schematics, the piece analyzes the anatomy of these historic machines. Notable details include the PET's integrated cassette unit, the TRS-80's separate keyboard design, and the Apple II's modular structure.
The finishing touch is the cartouche at the bottom, bearing fictional signatures (such as "R. Wayne" in homage to Apple's third co-founder) and the approval stamps "CONFIDENTIAL," giving the work an aura of historical authenticity and retro-tech charm.
