Description from the seller
We present at auction a specimen with modern, dynamic, and magnetic charm: the exclusive Montblanc StarWalker Roller Pen “Cool Blue.” This instrument blends the prestige and excellence of traditional craftsmanship with a bold, cutting-edge aesthetic, representing an indispensable accessory for the contemporary professional who likes to stand out with class.
The body and cap of this pen stand out for a complex and captivating material finish. The base structure features a refined guilloché geometric pattern, enhanced and protected by multiple layers of vibrant translucent blue lacquer. This superb combination creates an effect of extraordinary visual depth and a unique tactile sensation, granting iridescent and luminous reflections with every movement of the instrument.
To create an elegant, cool contrast with the intense blue weave are the solid metal details, enriched by a sparkling platinum plating finely polished to a mirror finish. The hefty clip with an architectural profile and the thick structural rings give the entire object a strong and rigorous character. At the top of the cap sits the ultimate detail of the StarWalker collection: the famous Montblanc white star emblem, which floats magically inside the characteristic dome of transparent resin, offering a magnificent three-dimensional effect.
The piece is configured as a Roller Pen, equipped with a secure screw-cap, elegantly rotatable also onto the rear end cap during writing to ensure impeccable balance in the hand. The shown disassembled views of the piece into its main components attest to the complete integrity of the robust internal structure and the precise threading.
The conservation state of this masterpiece should be regarded as excellent. The instrument has clearly been kept and handled with great care: the precious blue lacquer and the platinum finishes are beautifully preserved, showing only microscopic and superficial hairlines due to normal resting and the natural wear of polished materials. These details are almost invisible at first glance and in no way affect the majesty and gloss of the object.
