Vintage table lighter cabinet Onyx Art - Italy, 1960s/1970s - Functional, signed
Item description:
The item up for auction is a unique, luxurious tabletop lighter crafted from natural onyx with a deep green-honey hue. The piece was manufactured in Italy in the 1960s/70s by the esteemed Onyx Art workshop from Pietrasanta. The lighter’s base features beautiful, organic stone banding and has been polished to a high gloss. On the underside remains the original metallized producer label in red print reading “ONYX ART - ITALY,” a rarity on the collector’s market that confirms the absolute authenticity of the item.
Condition:
Visual: Very good condition. The stone shows no cracks, chips, or wear. The brass head bears minimal, natural signs of use and patina appropriate for its age.
Technical:
The mechanism has been tested and is functional – the spark lighter works flawlessly, producing a strong spark. The lighter only requires standard gas filling with butane through the valve at the bottom of the insert.
