Aurora - Fountain pen

Elegant Aurora Marco Polo fountain pen, Italian production, characterized by the refined longitudinal striped finish and the gold-plated finish.

The metal body bears the Aurora marking and the stamps visible in the photographs. The original case clearly bears the inscription “AURORA – argento 925‰ dorato”.

Particularly elegant is the contrast between the gilded worked surface, the decorative dark bands and the black section of the fountain pen. The cap is completed by the classic Aurora clip.

The pen retains its original Aurora case, internally lined, as well as the documentation/card visible in the photographs: items of interest for the collector and increasingly difficult to find together with the pen.

Vintage good condition, with normal signs due to age and use. There are slight traces, small scratches and superficial marks on the gold finish, documented in close-up photographs. Original case with normal signs of aging.

The nib appears to be in gold metal. It is not declared as a gold nib, since a 14K/585 marking is not visible.

The pen has been tested superficially: when writing it still releases a light ink trail. However, it has not been cleaned, serviced or subjected to prolonged testing of the feeding system; therefore it is offered in its current state.
