In December 1973, Pilot launched one of the lesser-known variants of the Capless pen line.
This featured a completely new nib unit, not compatible with the previous models. However, this new nib unit proved usable with all later models, although some modifications were necessary that did not alter the basic geometry.
In excellent condition the capless works only with one cartridge inserted
