Mariapeel, Limburg is an oil painting in the impressionist style from the Netherlands, dated 1970–1980, by Frans Manders, hand-signed and sold with a frame, with image size 80 x 100 cm and framed size 100 x 120 cm.
Description from the seller
A magnificent and atmospheric painting by Frans Manders (Helmond, 1939), an artist best known for his exceptional sense of light, color, and atmosphere.
Manders studied at the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven. In 1961 he began his career as a draftsman and later worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. After a successful exhibition of his watercolors and drawings in 1978, he decided to switch to independent artistic work. In his early work, the traditional, unspoiled Brabant landscape was central. With these atmospheric scenes, Manders built a large reputation. This painting is a splendid example of that and is characterized by the warm, atmospheric quality that is so typical of Frans Manders' oeuvre.
