This is a vintage photograph from 20th Century Fox of Marilyn Monroe, for the film "Marilyn," released in 1963, exactly one year after the premature death of the famous actress in 1962.

The film Marilyn, in English, was shown in Germany, again in 1963, under the title "Die Welt der Marilyn Monroe," and this photograph was handed to journalists that year at the film’s premiere, directed by Henry Koster with spoken commentary by the late Rock Hudson.

This image was chosen among the most beautiful and iconic of the famous actress, and is a shot from a few years earlier—perhaps 1958—with Marilyn leaning forward in a seductive pose, a shot perhaps by Eve Arnold, her friend and personal photographer.
