Description from the seller
Max Kreijn
The composition consists of simplified forms and vibrant color usage, creating not so much a realistic representation as a personal impression of the atmosphere and rhythm of the city. The work reflects Kreijn’s fascination with travel and urban cultures.
After several years of studying architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology, Kreijn continued his education in Monumental Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. He subsequently attended lessons under, among others, R.B. Kitaj and David Hockney at the Royal College of Art in London. After his studies, he first moved to the island of Ibiza and then to Assisi and Florence, where he devoted himself intensively to painting. For more than forty years the artist lived and worked in various countries, including Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Portugal, Thailand, Argentina, and Australia. This international background and broad artistic formation are reflected in his work, where architecture, atmosphere, and personal experience come together.
Dimensions: 104 x 74 cm
Unframed
Viewings are, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. We also make use of restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to take advantage of this, please let us know."
