Max Kreijn (1947–2013), hand-signed, original pencil drawing of architecture, 50 x 70 cm, created in 1989, in the Impressionist style, from the Netherlands, sold by Galerie, in good condition, not framed.
Description from the seller
Max Kreijn
The composition consists of simplified forms and a lively use of color, resulting not so much in a realistic representation as in a personal impression of the atmosphere and rhythm of the city. The work reflects Kreijn's fascination with travel and urban cultures.
After studying architecture for a few years at the Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven, Kreijn continued his education in Monumental Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. He subsequently took classes under, among others, R.B. Kitaj and David Hockney at the Royal College of Art in London. After his studies, he first moved to the island of Ibiza and then to Assisi and Florence, where he devoted himself intensively to painting. For over forty years the artist lived and worked in various countries, including Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Portugal, Thailand, Argentina and Australia. This international background and broad artistic training are reflected in his work, in which architecture, atmosphere and personal experience come together.
Dimensions: 50 x 70 cm
Not framed
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. We also use restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
