Instagram: XTC.Artist
Hand-finished plastic sculpture by artist XTC with acrylic paints and varnishes and vinyl, created on a commercially produced bare base. The edition number applies to the artist-painted finish and not to the base object.
Plastic box painted by the artist, vinyl, varnish.
Glass is not provided ;) (unusual object, not suitable for food use!)
Numbered out of 30 and signed on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
Careful and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that had to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular culture (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), pitting them against the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or even caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addiction in general.
All defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
HAND-FINISHED “Sculpture produced for commercial purposes, hand-retouched by artist XTC using acrylic paints and vinyl.”
