Signature: Signed at the top left “R. Daussy 82”; original handwritten label attached to the back bearing the artist’s name, the year and the title
Framing: Natural wooden moulding of original origin

Description:
Oil (or acrylic) on panel depicting a surreal and dreamlike composition, characteristic of Raymond Daussy’s poetic universe.
The scene features an interior space pared down to soft tones, lit from above by a circular oculus revealing the sky. Three fish drift weightlessly in the center of the room. On the left, a wooden piece of furniture topped with a blue cloth bears a brass arm holding a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass projects a beam of light onto the floor, revealing, in focus, a landscape of greenery.
Condition:
Very good original overall condition. Colors well preserved, support sound. Slight patinas of time on the wooden frame.
