AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Sculpture BUTTERFLY Rouge Cartier by Jean-François Piecourt, all in thermolacquered steel, edition of 499 pieces with random numbering, hand-signed
22 x 12 x 5 cm

MY ART
My work relies on a fully mastered creative process, at the frontier between industrial design and contemporary sculpture.
Each work begins with the design of an original 3D model, then cut into a succession of planes.
Each plane is redrawn, reworked and sculpted individually, giving rise to a sculpture within a sculpture, where each slice has its own reading. The whole is then laser-cut from raw steel, and assembled manually by a precise mechanical assembly, slice by slice.
Once the piece is assembled, it is powder-coated with epoxy powder, sealing the material and providing a durable, homogeneous finish, the final signature of the work.
