The dating is supported by the MORETTI RECANATI engraved mark, by the presence of the original ebonite mouthpiece with metal tenon and condenser, as well as by the typical work with natural edge (plateau), a characteristic of high-quality artisanal pipes of that era.

The piece stands out for its splendid vertical flame (straight grain), its elegant shape and generous dimensions, which testify to the use of a carefully selected briar block. The natural edge retains its original charm, while the bowl shows a normal and even patina of use, indicating proper usage. The mouthpiece is original and in good condition.
