ETNIK - Sezione Aurea 1

ETNIK is an Italian-Swedish artist who lives and works in Turin. Etnik's career as a writer and urban artist began in the early 90s and continues today, working in many European countries, the USA and South America. The work presented is titled 'Sezione Aurea 1' and is a concept also painted on some murals; it features intersecting architectural forms that represent, in a synthetic and abstract way, the urban agglomeration—a theme I often explore in my works. The Golden Section is a universal theme applied in all natural and human forms and it schematically rationalizes the perfect proportions in a growing spiral of measures. The composition blends into a set of architectures, geometries and colors that, on a warm background like wood, are enhanced by the vivid colors.

Etnik, known for works in outdoor public spaces, often dialogues with the architectures and places he paints, often incorporating existing architectural elements into his paintings. In these years Etnik works and paints at numerous public events in countries such as Greece, France, Scotland, Sweden, Spain, USA, Brazil, etc...
