Up for auction is a splendid and exceptional example of a Castello Pipe, Trade Mark model (KKKK), dated 2015 (Castello year stamp verifiable on the shank).
This piece stands out for a beautiful smooth, light, natural finish, today virtually impossible to source on the market due to the rarity of briar boards so free of imperfections that they do not require staining or dark contrasts. The flame finish is regular and highlights the craftsmanship of Cantù’s manufacturing.
The pipe is in a classic straight Billiard shape, with generous and balanced proportions. On the shank there is the exclusive R5 marking, attesting to its provenance close to the historic and elegant Francesco Rosso shop in Padua, synonymous with excellence and rigorous selection of pieces.
Conditions:
Splendid NOS (New Old Stock) condition. The pipe is completely new, never smoked, never loaded. Black acrylic mouthpiece, perfect, without any marks or oxidation.
