Description from the seller
Maurizio Galimberti (Como, 1956), Italian photographer.
BiFlowers
Original photographic diptych composed of two Polaroids, overall dimensions approximately 15.5 × 7.3 cm.
The work belongs to Maurizio Galimberti's research dedicated to instant photography and floral subjects, developed through strong contrasts, tonal overlays, and a nearly graphic rendering of botanical forms.
Technique: Polaroid / original instant photography.
Edition: unique piece, 1 of 1.
Signature: signed on the front, bottom, on the lower edge of the Polaroid.
The work is presented within a white matte and a black frame.
On the back there is an archival label with the identifying details of the work and bibliographic references.
Provenance: Italian auction house.
Bibliography: work referred to in the publication Maurizio Galimberti, Flowers, with bibliographic reference reported in the documentation on the back. Further editorial references are present on the label of the work.
Conditions: good overall condition. The Polaroids are well preserved; the mounting and the frame show any minor signs compatible with age and preservation. The photographs constitute an integral part of the description.
Maurizio Galimberti is among the most widely identified contemporary Italian photographers with the creative use of the Polaroid. His work has transformed instant photography into an autonomous language, often built through sequences, mosaics, and variations on the same subject.
Careful, tracked shipment and adequately protected.
